Welcome to Quicksilver Software
Quicksilver Software, Inc has been developing cutting-edge games for over 22 years. Located
in Irvine, California, the company focuses on designing and developing first-rate strategy,
simulation, and action/RPG titles for various platforms.
Our services are always in demand, and we are constantly looking for energetic and talented
individuals who want to join our team. We have a dynamic mix of designers, programmers and
artists. To these core people we add musicians, audio specialists, writers, acting talent
and others on a per-project basis.
We focus on creating games that stand out from the crowd. Strategy and RPG genres are our
main focus, but we're always trying to turn the standard genres inside out by mixing elements
together in new and innovative ways. This approach has won us several Editors' Choice awards
from Computer Gaming World for titles like Conquest of the New World and Star Trek®:
Starfleet Command ™, not to mention top-seller status for our mobile game AMF Xtreme Bowling.
We develop premium titles -- the ones that get magazine cover treatment and stay on the shelves
for years. Many of our games have been top-sellers. Conquest of the New World has sold more than
500,000 copies, and so has Shanghai: Great Moments. The classic Castles game has done well over
400,000 copies. Shanghai: Second Dynasty was awarded "Casual Game of the Year" for 2001 by
Computer Games Magazine. And we expect to do the same with our newest title, Star Trek®:
Tactical Assault for Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.
We know our stuff. Whether it's game design, AI, 3D graphics technology, or multiplayer server
design and deployment, we have experts with years of experience behind them.
We're looking for long-term relationships. Whether dealing with customers or staff members,
we're not interested in one-shot deals. Building relationships is critical to the development
of top games and to making the most of the experience gained in creating our unique types of games.
Several of our customers have been working with us in some capacity for more than ten years.
And the U.S. Army values our skill set enough to have provided us a series of fascinating projects
for the last five years.
We have an excellent environment which encourages open dialogue, teamwork and respect for good
ideas. We also believe that our team members should be well-rounded, so work hours are
reasonable and everyone is encouraged to "get a life" outside of the office.
